GIZ co organizes a workshop corporation to take energy products and services to households not connected to the grid

India has a very large number of households who do not have access to modern electricity and cooking fuel. The market for Clean Energy products and services is potentially very large. Consumers have already demonstrated the ability to purchase such products if they can see the value in them. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH along with New Ventures India is offering a practitioners' workshop for corporate sector who are willing to develop / expand a clean energy business models for low-income or "Base of the Pyramid" (BoP) markets in India.

The workshop is designed for new and established companies starting or expanding business activities into BoP energy markets. Companies who have existing markets and infrastructure in rural areas and those who have energy products and services will find these discussions useful. Companies trying to marry CSR initiatives with business interests will benefit from these discussions.
