Renewable Energy Supply for Rural Areas (RESRA): 100% commissioning and handing over responsibility to Village Energy Committees (VECs)

Commissioning of all 24 RESRA project sites has been completed. This also includes funding by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) for gridlines in 8 villages. After successful series of training programs for village operators and energy committees, the operational responsibility has been handed over to each cluster VEC. For this, a common program was organised in Satrenga village, Korba district, Chhattisgarh, on 21st June in the presence of Dr Nikolaus Supersberger, Deputy Director IGEN-GIZ. The program was attended by VEC members, SHGs (users group), representatives of the local administration and NGO representatives Jijeevisha and Gomukh.
