The Climate Change Adaptation in Rural Areas India project conducted a National Workshop on Climate Change Adaptation in Rural India on October 14th and 15th, 2014 in New Delhi. The event was jointly organized by Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) and GIZ.

It brought together a wide range of stakeholders from National Government, State governments, bilateral and multilateral donors, Research Institutes, Academia, Think Tanks, Development Banks and representatives of Non-Governmental Organisations. The project partners looked back at successful five years of cooperation. There was sharing of experience and learnings from the project, and current issues of climate change adaptation in India were looked into. The workshop helped trigger recommendations for the future Indo-German cooperation and for adaptation strategies to climate change in general.
