The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity (TEEB) India Initiative: Implementing Aichi Biodiversity Targets

Drawing example from India, the side event demonstrated how TEEB implementation at national and sub-national levels could support countries towards achieving Aichi Biodiversity Targets. The event organized by the Incentives for Sustainable Management of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (ISBM) Project under the Indo-German Biodiversity Programme, engaged national governments, regional policy-makers and businesses. The side event included:

  • Presentation and release of TEEB India Initiative Interim Report
  • Panel discussion on TEEB and Aichi Biodiversity Targets by leading experts
  • Interactive discussion with participants

Indo-German Biodiversity Programme implemented by GIZ, supports the ISBM project which is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ).
