Capacity Development (CD) is regarded as crucial in making projects and its results sustainable. There is a widespread consensus that CD should form the backbone of development cooperation and be considered systematically in the design as well as implementation of projects and programs. As a result, CD strategies tend to be limited using rather simplistic interventions such as trainings and study tours. Professionals working in the international space are well aware of the complexities and challenges of addressing capacity needs in a systematic and holistic manner.
