One of GIZ’s major concerns is to ensure a high quality of service delivery, for both the partner organisations and development workers. To achieve this, GIZ’s Development Service works with the QaP (quality as process) quality management system. Regular independent quality audits of GIZ’s Development Service ensure that this system is effective and being used. The most recent certificate was issued in March 2013 by the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems (SQS). It is evidence of the high quality of the services delivered by GIZ’s Development Service and is valid for a period of three years. This means that GIZ’s development workers can be sure of receiving competent, professional support and back-up before, during and after their assignment in a partner country. Partner organisations can be sure of getting highly qualified, suitable and experienced experts as advisors. Equally, working in an organisation that gears its activities to fixed quality standards provides an ideal environment for fully exploiting your potential and really making a sustainable difference in the partner country.
