Federal Ministry of Education and Research
The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) commissions GIZ to implement international mobility programmes in which German trainees and students at universities of applied sciences and colleges can gain practical experience overseas.
Along with the technical and thematic exchange with the Ministry on a wide range of topics – from health research and vocational training to climate change and sustainability issues – GIZ also provides support to the office of the German Council for Sustainable Development (RNE) on behalf of the Ministry.
In addition, BMBF provides funding for the deployment of integrated experts by the Centre for International Migration and Development (CIM).
