The Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010 was enacted by the Central Government for registration and regulation of all clinical establishments in the country, to prescribe the minimum standards of facilities and services provided by them. The implementation of this legislation is closely interlinked with effective delivery of health insurance schemes such as Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana.

GIZ's Indo-German Social Security Programme has organised a seminar on India’s Clinical Establishment Act, 2010, that includes an Overview, Status & Implications of the Act on Health Insurance.

Sunil Nandraj, Advisor to the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, will present his findings on the Act and its implications for social health insurance in India, at the seminar. Mr. Nandraj works in the areas of health systems, policy making, health financing, health delivery, human resources, legislation among other related areas.
