Collaborating across the Value Chain

The India Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Program, a voluntary industry-led partnership facilitated by Water Resources Institute (WRI), The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) – is organising a high level summit that aims to address opportunities and challenges on greenhouse gas management across Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and extended supply chain partners.

GIZ India will be represented by a panelist to discuss the collaborative engagements and best practices in GHG accounting for SMEs from an international perspective. This session will, amongst others, deal with collaborative logistics for companies, an ideal opportunity to report on the progress made in the GIZ Green Freight India (GFI) activities.

The Summit will see participation of key business leaders including Mr. Jamshyd Godrej, high level representatives of program founding member companies and key partners, thereby making this a unique platform to exchange ideas amongst industry peers.

Apart from specific examples and best practices of collaborative engagement highlighted during the event, the Summit would also see the formal launch of a do-it-yourself SME GHG Accounting tool, developed under the aegis of the India GHG Program.
