National Conference on Energy Efficiency – Opportunities and Challenges in Aluminium Industry

Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research Development and Design Centre organised a national conference at Nagpur with GIZ's Indo-German Energy Program, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Maharashtra Energy Development Authority, National Aluminium Company Limited and other organisations, as part of its silver jubilee celebrations.

The main theme was to propagate energy management strategies to optimise and manage energy consumption in the aluminium industry to meet the regulatory requirement of Perform, Achieve and Trade (PAT).

The focus at the conference was on highlighting efficient use of energy resources and their conservation for curtailment of wasteful consumption and sustainable development.
