Call for Proposal 83374942 - Municipal Finance Management Training to GSP II partner municipalities in Mpumalanga and Eastern Cape

The Governance Support Programme (GSP II) is a partnership programme agreed to between the Governments of South Africa and Germany. It is a technical cooperation programme co-steered at national level in a partnership between the Department of Cooperative Governance, the Department of Public Service and Administration, the National Treasury, the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the latter responsible for the implementation of the development contributions on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the United States Agency for International Development.

The GIZ GSP II is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified service provider to conduct training for the municipal finance senior officials for eight (8) partner municipalities in Mpumalanga and Eastern Cape on the municipal finance reporting processes for enhanced and credible Annual Financial Statements (AFS). The service provider is expected to develop the training material and facilitate the skills transfer through capacity development on the following areas; a) the compilation of weekly, monthly and annual reconciliation of finance accounts b) how to interpret & apply GRAP standards correctly when drafting finance reports and; c) How to draft credible and accurate AFS, as per Section 122 of the Municipal Finance Management Act of 2003.

GIZ invites eligible and professional companies with local presence in South Africa, to participate in this tender.
