Working on conflict: together with local partners, CPS experts promote a non-violent conflict management. CPS experts fulfil a diverse mandate. As well as supporting organisations in resolving conflict between different interest groups or ethnic groups, they advise and provide training on how to help the victims of violence overcome trauma.
They also train the employees of local partner organisations to use civil conflict transformation methods and strategies and to eliminate hostility, and advise on drafting strategies to promote peace. They support local partners in raising awareness for the concerns of disadvantaged groups and in reintegrating former combatants into civilian life.
In the following stories CPS experts talk about their work:
Ethiopia: It is possible
Palestinian territories: Music brings down walls
Guatemala: Using art and language to process trauma
Bolivia: Change starts with you
