Objective

The overall objective of this project is the effective utilisation of the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance in Bosnia and Herzegovina to foster the European integration

process and alignment with EU standards and policie

Approach:

The project comprises of support to strengthen the capacities of the National Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance Coordinator Office for fulfilment of NIPAC’s roles and responsibilities, through NIPAC strengthen the capacities of sector coordinating institutions and all relevant institutions at different levels of governance as members of IPA operating structures, as well as capacities of other stakeholders in BiH relating to the utilization of IPA, and strengthened capacities of the NIPAC Office as the National Investment Committee Secretariat, through NIPAC SCIs and all relevant institutions at different levels of governance related to the preparation, prioritisation, and implementation of infrastructure projects under the Western Balkans Investment Framework and the IPA national programme.

The Project did foresee 3 results:

Result 1 - Strengthened capacities of NIPAC Office for fulfilment of NIPACs’ roles and responsibilities;

Result 2 - Strengthened capacities of Sector Coordinating Institutions (SCI) and all relevant institutions at different levels of governance, as members of IPA operating structures, as well as capacities of other stakeholders in Bosnia and Herzegovina, relating to utilisation of IPA; and

Result 3 - Strengthened capacities of NIPAC Office/NIC Secretariat, SCIs and all relevant institutions at different levels of governance related to preparation, prioritisation and implementation of the infrastructure projects under Western Balkan Investment Framework and IPA national programme.
