Questions and Answers for local consultants

• Most likely you had a slow or no Internet connection when submitting your data. Before saving your entries, please ensure a stable Internet connection. Otherwise, the upload does not work correctly, and you will receive the error message.
• The size of the file you uploaded is too big. Please ensure that the maximum size of every single document does not exceed 2MB. File < 2MB. Please check your documents before you upload them!
• Please make sure to fill out every required box (marked with a star*).

Be ensured, once you successfully entered your data, we have received it and are working on your case. Please refrain from asking about the status of your application. This will take time away from working on the applications we have received, including yours.

• Please check your inbox and your spam folder. Sometimes the confirmation e-mail is stuck in your spam folder.
• In very rare cases, the system needs more than 12 hours to send the confirmation e-mail. Check your e-mail account regularly! After you received your confirmation e-mail, you may not be contacted again for some time, unless there are questions about your applications. Please be patient, we are working on your case.
• Please check whether you have entered your e-mail-address correctly! Several people did not receive a confirmation e-mail because they entered a false e-mail address.

• Please upload all the identity documents you have, even if they are currently expired. We can only work on your case, if you can identify yourself. Please provide at least one identity document: (E-)Tazkira, passport, or birth certificate.
• To initially work on your case, expired identity documents suffice. If you receive a “declaration of admission” in the future, you will, however, need a valid identity document.
• Sub question: “My family members do not have identity documents, should I enter and send my data anyway?”
  • Please check again, if your family members really do not have any identity documents ((E-)Tazkira, passport, birth certificate). Even if they are invalid, please upload them.  Once you receive a declaration of admission to Germany, your family members will however need valid identity documents.
• Sub question: “My wife or I myself am pregnant, what should I do?”
  • Please add your unborn child as core family member with the potential date of birth and age 0.

Please upload as many contracts as you have. If you do not have a copy of your contract anymore, please add as many contract details as possible.

If you do not remember who you supported, please get back to us, give us clear information whom you supported and provide as much detail about the contractual relationship with GIZ as possible. Please provide us with a valid e-mail-address of the person. Otherwise, no new invitation e-mail can be sent.

• No, the reference number is personalized. Do not share it with other persons!
• Sub-question:  “I received several invitation e-mails, what should I do?”
  • Please enter your data and upload your documents only once. Uploading your data and documents several times will not help your case and will only lead to confusion.

Please add them to the “other family members” section and please explain why they should also receive a “declaration of admission” to Germany.

Please check the information you enter carefully, before you upload it. In case there is still unclarity, we will get back to you. Please refrain from sending additional emails and from uploading repetitively.

Yes, please upload your documents even if they are in Dari or Pashtu. However, apart from the documents, all other information you fill in the questionnaire details in the online platform must be written in English language.

Please use the name that is mentioned in your identity document. If you have both, passport and (E-)taskeera, please use the name of your passport, in case of any discrepancies.

An answer to this question is not possible. The time to review your case depends on many factors: the quality and completeness of the data you have entered, the number of current cases, feedback loops of the responsible German authorities (ministries), among others.

If you are a core family member (husband, wife, daughter or son under 18 and unmarried) or a daughter/son over 18 years, you can fill out the form. If you are otherwise related (father, uncle, brother, sister, etc.) your request can unfortunately not be processed.

• The local consultant procedure of GIZ is not in charge of family reunification. If you have other family members that are still living in Afghanistan, please contact the

  Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF)
  or the
  Federal Foreign Office (AA)
  and send a request for family reunification.

If you do not have core family members (wife, husband, daughter/son under 18 years who are not married), then please do not fill the core family section. Leave it empty. If you have other family members you want to add, please do so in the box “other family members”. If you apply only for yourself, please do so.
