Ziel des Vorhabens
Die mexikanische Regierung verfügt über Rahmenbedingungen für die soziale Inklusion von Frauen und Mädchen.
Ausgangssituation
In Lateinamerika sind Einkommen, Ressourcen und Chancen sehr ungleich verteilt. Dieser Trend hat sich mit der COVID-19-Pandemie weiter verstärkt und betrifft vor allem gefährdete Gruppen. Im Jahr 2020 waren 44 Prozent der Frauen und Mädchen von Armut betroffen.
Der Mangel an wirtschaftlicher Autonomie ist eines der Haupthindernisse für die soziale Eingliederung von Frauen in Mexiko. Zwar machen Frauen fast 50 Prozent der Erwerbsbevölkerung aus. Dennoch arbeitet mehr als die Hälfte von ihnen informell und hat keinen Zugang zu Sozialleistungen oder sozialer Sicherheit.
Wenn Frauen und Mädchen einen gleichberechtigten Zugang zum Arbeitsmarkt bekommen, wird eine größere wirtschaftliche und soziale Inklusion sowie eine produktive und nachhaltige Gesellschaft erreicht. Eine stärkere Teilhabe ermöglicht es Frauen, Räume im öffentlichen Leben zu besetzen und Umgebungen zu verändern, um gerechtere und friedlichere Gesellschaften aufzubauen.
Vorgehensweise
Das Projekt arbeitet in drei Themenfeldern für mehr Gleichstellung:
1) Das Betreuungssystem ausbauen: Das Vorhaben verbessert die technischen Fähigkeiten der Regierung von Mexiko-Stadt. Mittels Datenauswertung entwickelt es ein Modell der sozialen Betreuung von Frauen weiter, die Opfer von Gewalt geworden sind. Dadurch erleichtert es ihnen die Eingliederung in wirtschaftliche Aktivitäten.
2) Die wirtschaftliche Autonomie von Frauen fördern: Gemeinsam mit dem Wirtschaftsministerium nutzt das Vorhaben innovative Finanzierungsmethoden, um digitale Unternehmer*innen zu identifizieren und zu unterstützen. Damit fördert es eine öffentliche Politik, die soziale und wirtschaftliche Inklusion ausbaut.
3) Frauen an der Entscheidungsfindung beteiligen: Zu diesem Zweck werden Instrumente eingesetzt, die innovative und partizipative Lösungen für den Abbau von Lücken und die soziale Inklusion von Frauen und Mädchen bieten. Das Vorhaben schafft zum Beispiel Möglichkeiten für ko-kreative Partizipation, um die Grundlagen des Versorgungssystems im Bundesstaat Yucatan zu legen.

Objective
The Mexican Government has the framework conditions in place for the social inclusion of women and girls.
Content
Income, resources and opportunities are distributed very unevenly in Latin America. This trend has further intensified with the COVID-19 pandemic and especially affects vulnerable groups. In 2020, 44 per cent of women and girls were affected by poverty.
The lack of economic autonomy is one of the main obstacles to the social integration of women in Mexico. Although women make up nearly 50 per cent of the working population, more than half of them work in the informal sector and have no access to social security benefits or social protection.
Giving women and girls equal access to the labour market leads to greater economic and social inclu-sion and a more productive and sustainable society. Greater participation enables women to play a part in public life and change environments in order to establish fairer and more peaceful societies.
Approach
The project works towards more equal opportunities in three thematic areas:
1) Expanding the support system: The project improves the technical capacities of the government of Mexico City. Based on data evaluation, it is developing a model for providing social support for women who have become victims of violence, thus making it easier to integrate them into economic activities.
2) Promoting the economic autonomy of women: Together with the Secretariat of Economy, the project uses innovative funding methods to identify and support digital entrepreneurs. It thus promotes a public policy that expands social and economic inclusion.
3) Involving women in decision-making: This entails using instruments that provide innovative and participatory solutions for removing gaps and establishing the social inclusion of women and girls. For example, the project is creating opportunities for co-creative participation to lay the foundations for the supply system in the state of Yucatán.
