You should use the language in which the advertisement is written.

No. Once you have submitted your application, you will no longer be able to make changes or additions to it. You should therefore ensure that all the information and documents you submit are accurate and complete before you send off your application.

On our Job Portal, you will find a red button marked ‘Apply now’ attached to each advertisement. We recommend you register on our website, so that you can manage jobs within your careers portal and check on the status of applications at any time.

We regret we cannot accept unsolicited applications. All our vacancies are advertised on our Job Portal. Please visit the Job Portal regularly and subscribe to information about new vacancies. You will find further information on our website.

Yes, of course; you can apply for more than one job at the same time. However, please note that each job requires an individual application.

A fair and careful selection of the applications received is very important to us. Therefore, we would like to ask for your understanding that this process takes some time. Of course, we will contact you as soon as possible afterwards.

The information in your application will automatically be transferred to a database and accessed by the Human Resources Department and the relevant specialist unit within GIZ. We will then contact you about your application.

Preparing staff for a new role is very important at GIZ. GIZ has a wide range of events tailored to providing new colleagues with comprehensive preparation for their new role. The onboarding process aims to give new employees the specialist training they need and to help them integrate in the company’s social structures and networks.

Depending on your role, location and previous experience with GIZ, the onboarding portal creates a timeline with an individual training plan for your new job. Over a period of about six months, this plan will include face to face and online provision to run alongside the mandatory and recommended training you will receive.
