Battery Energy Storage Systems Market Research for Lithium-ion and Lead Acid Technology

The South African-German Energy Programme (SAGEN) is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in cooperation with the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE), Eskom and the South African Local Government Association (SALGA).

The study aims to get a general understanding of the import data volumes of Lithium-ion and Lead Acid Batteries and establish how much of the sales volumes represent battery storage capacity (watt-hour) that is used for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in the South African power sector.

GIZ is procuring a contractor to Perform a Battery Energy Storage Systems Market Research Study for Lithium-ion and Lead Acid cell technologies.

GIZ invites eligible and professional companies with local presence in South Africa to participate in this tender.
