Learn an internationally proven methodology to support businesses transitioning to circular economy – Become a certified CIRCO trainer!
A circular economy aims to preserve the value of products, materials, and resources for as long as possible. It can be applied in all sectors and industries. To bring the concept into practice, businesses need to understand the specific opportunity circular economy can present to their enterprise and how they can reap it.
Building on previous and ongoing efforts for raising awareness on the circular economy and circular business models, GIZ is bringing the CIRCO methodology to Viet Nam to train consultants and business leaders in creating business through circular design. We are looking for candidate trainers in Viet Nam to learn and master the methodology in order to support local companies in their transition to a circular economy.
What is the CIRCO methodology?
CIRCO is a methodology developed by researchers from the Technical University of Delft and practitioners in the Netherlands. It successfully supported 2000 companies in the Netherlands alone, of which two-thirds implement the roadmap they have developed in the CIRCO programme. The methodology is utilised in 12 other countries with CIRCO Hubs established, such as Singapore, Thailand, Brazil, and Sri Lanka.
A CIRCO track usually consists of three one-day workshops.
DAY 1 – INITIATE
Delving deeper into the design principles of circular economy to identify loss of valuable materials in the business; thus, circular opportunities are revealed.
DAY 2 – IDEATE
Formulating circular value propositions and business models from the identified opportunities in Day 1.
DAY 3 – IMPLEMENT
Design implementation roadmap to bring circular propositions to market, participants pitching their plan to fellow trainees.
