Context of the Project:
It aims to bring together all European Union funded exchange students and alumni and offers a dynamic platform for networking, professional development and intercultural learning while promoting European higher education and worldwide cooperation.
The FWC Erasmus+ consists of 6 specific contracts for 7 alumni networks:
• WBAA – Western Balkans Alumni Association
• ESAA – Erasmus+ Student and Alumni Alliance (incl. ESAA, EMA and OCEANS, ESN, garagErasmus) and
• ASAF – African Students and Alumni Forum.
Objectives:
• To mobilise students and alumni of EU-funded higher education programmes to promote the respective EU-funded mobility opportunities.
• To provide advice and analysis on the implementation of such programs
• To promote, within Erasmus+ Student and Alumni Alliance (ESAA) and the regional alumni associations (RAAs), the cooperation between students and alumni from EU-funded learning mobility actions
Approach:
The approach is to support student and alumni networks which also encourages interaction between Erasmus+ participants, alumni and local communities by motivating students and alumni to visit institutions and schools to share their experiences with the next generation of participants. This is often carried out in cooperation with higher education institutions. Through such outreach initiatives, alumni promote the added value of the EU and mobility and contribute to improving the quality and relevance of education and fostering entrepreneurship.
