Supporting careers, broadening horizons: enhance your CV with a USA experience
German-American Internship Programme 2018
Bonn/Eschborn, 6 September 2018. Would you like to spend time in New York or Los Angeles? Or is small-town America more your thing? On behalf of the German Government, in 2018, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is again offering young Germans the chance to gain initial work experience in the USA through the German-American Internship Programme. Young professionals and graduates from various disciplines, as well as experts in agriculture, viticulture and horticulture, can spend up to a year on a job-related internship and gain an insight into life and work on the other side of the Atlantic.
In cooperation with its US partner organisation, Cultural Vistas, GIZ supports participants with applying for the J-1 Visa, provides assistance during their stay in the USA and arranges financial assistance in the form of grants and travel subsidies from the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. Participants can also apply to attend a language course alongside their internships. The participants themselves are responsible for finding their internships, which are open to applicants up to the age of 27. Please submit your application as soon as possible.
