Media Training Course Development
The Transparency, Integrity and Accountability Programme (TIP) supports state and non-state actors to contribute towards the implementation of the National Anti-corruption Strategy (NACS) in a whole-of-government and societal manner. The TIP provides capacity development for anti-corruption actors in the state, civil society and the business sector.
The TIP, in partnership with the South African National Editors’ Forum, seeks to appoint a suitably qualified service provider to develop a training package for journalists on how to interact safely and responsibly with whistleblowers in the course of reporting. The training will also cover how to report on whistleblower stories responsibly. The training package should include training for trainers as well as course content to be delivered by trainers to journalists who interact with whistleblowers. The service provider will develop additional resources for participants and host training sessions with selected TIP partner organisations. The service provider will also be responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the training.
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) invites eligible and professional companies with local presence in South Africa to participate in this tender.
