GIZ’s consultant database

GIZ’s consultant database stores the details of experienced international cooperation professionals. GIZ leverages this external know-how in order to enrich and strengthen its internal processes.

The profiles and CVs contained in the database are available company-wide.

If you have a relevant skills profile, practical professional experience and are an adept intercultural communicator and advisor, we would be pleased to include you in our database. We are particularly interested in applications from individuals qualified in one or more of the following thematic areas:

  • Economic and social development, employment
  • Governance and conflict
  • Climate change, rural development, infrastructure
  • Methods, digital transformation, innovation

Successful applicants also have relevant regional experience and language skills and, where appropriate, are procedurally competent at managing commissions for the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) or other German public sector commissioning parties and cofinancing bodies. Other key criteria include a familiarity with GIZ’s processes and international cooperation in general.

Besides individual skills profiles‚ our database also lists ‘core consultants’ who are able to implement standard GIZ-specific procedures. Core consultants satisfy a number of different criteria. In particular, they are willing to acquire and regularly update their knowledge of relevant GIZ-specific methodologies, instruments and procedures. GIZ provides self-study materials and placements and also expects consultants to participate in one of the two method-based upskilling courses it organises twice a year.

If your profile fits this description and you are interested in joining the Sectoral Department’s pool of consultants, please send us your professional details.
