A low-cost way to promote healthy hygiene habits for better education and health outcomes in primary schools in developing countries is now available, with the development of the WASHaLOT 3.0 group washing facility by the German government’s GIZ-implemented Regional Fit for School programme, the GIZ Sector Programme Sustainable Sanitation (SV NaSa), and the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam in Germany.

Indigenous peoples (IPs) representing the newly formed independent and inclusive IP platform Lumad Husay Mindanaw (LHM) have submitted to the national government their proposed inclusions to the draft agreements on social and economic reforms, ceasefire and amnesty proclamation among the peace agreements being negotiated between the government and the revolutionary group National Democratic Front of the Philippines in the southern Philippines island group of Mindanao.
