The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH as a Technical Assistance (TA) partner has advised the African Union (AU) on the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA) since 2010 with evolving support on organisational development, process advisory, infrastructure project preparation, private sector engagement and the promotion of employment creation. GIZ supports AUC on policy level and AUDA-NEPAD on implementation level as its direct cooperation partners. The upcoming GIZ TA project phase (11/2021 – 08/2024) has the strategic objective to strengthen partner capacities to realize green infrastructure projects in trade relevant integrated corridors.
