Appointment of a Service Provider to Develop Country Specific CO2 Emission Factors for Solid Fuels

The Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment (DFFE), in collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is seeking to appoint a qualified service provider to develop country specific carbon dioxide (CO2) emission factors for 11 key solid fuels utilised in stationary fuel combustion activities.

The primary purpose of this work is to develop country specific CO2 emissions factors for South Africa’s key solid fuels, develop and record the methodology and approach used, and to prepare a draft a journal article for a possible publication. 

GIZ invites eligible and professional companies with local presence in South Africa to participate in this tender. Expression of interest forms are available for downloading below. Completed forms must be submitted to ZA_Quotation@giz.de  by 3 June 2022.
