 AFROSAI-E Data Capturing

The Good Financial Governance (GFG) in Africa programme promotes transparency and accountability in public financial management and is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the European Union and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland. Its objective is to empower Good Financial Governance change agents in the areas of taxation, budgets, financial control, and legislative financial and budgetary supervision in Africa to support systemic changes in African countries and reduce illicit financial flows in Africa. One of GFG’s key partner organizations in the area of external audit is the African Organization of English-Speaking Supreme Audit Institutions (AFROSAI-E), a linguistic subgroup of AFROSAI. The AFROSAI-E Secretariat was established to support the 26-member Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) in Africa with capacity building initiatives to fulfil their mandates.  The Secretariat is hosted by the Auditor General of South Africa.

GIZ is looking for an individual expert for a data capturing project supporting AFROSAI-E. With support from GIZ, AFROSAI-E has developed its web-based Monitoring & Evaluation System (AMES) since November 2021. The AMES is a custom-built Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) system which encompasses the organization’s entire strategic framework, annual operational plans, reporting modules, budgeting modules, etc.

Since the start of AFROSAI-E’s current strategic plan in 2020, AFROSAI-E has accumulated extensive M&E records digitally. The objective of this assignment is to transfer these files from the current MS Word and MS Excel format into the newly developed web-based AMES.

The Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) invites eligible and professional individual/ appraiser with local presence in South Africa to participate in this tender. Tender documents are available for downloading below.

Your proposal must be submitted to ZA_Quotation@giz.de by 17 October 2022. Please quote reference 83420660 when submitting the documentation for us not to miss your submission. Late submissions will not be accepted.
