Preparation and Implementation of the Digital and Future Skills National Conference

Project Name: Digital Skills for Jobs and Income (DS4JI)

The GIZ’s Digital Skills for Jobs and Income (DS4JI) aims to increase the employment prospects of young people, especially women, in an increasingly digitalised South African economy. The project supports the improvement of the employability of young people through a comprehensive approach that supports digital skilling initiatives, assists SMEs to improve hiring practices, and improves stakeholder engagement. The project is supported by DS4JI’s political partner, the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies (DCDT).

As part of the DS4JI’s effort to improve networking and exchange among stakeholders and in alignment with DCDT’s National Digital and Future Skills Strategy aim to drive a massive awareness campaign on the critical importance of digital skills, the project supports DCDT with the organization and implementation of a 2nd National Digital Skills Conference.

DS4JI seeks the services of a highly skilled and competent service provider with extensive knowledge in organizing and successfully implementing high-level events on a national scale.

Companies with a history and a proven track record are encouraged to apply to provide the following services:

Assist with content development for the 2nd National Digital Skills Conference in mid-October 2023 in Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, Eastern Cape. The assistance will include partnership facilitation with academia; conference content development; selection of speakers, panelists and presenters and organizing speaker bios, papers, and abstract submissions.

GIZ invites eligible and professional service firms with legal local presence in South Africa to participate in this tender.
