The Energy Partnership (EP) is collaborating with Messe Frankfurt South Africa for the virtual Solar Power Africa Conference 2020 taking place from 16 – 20 November.
As part of this collaboration, the EP is hosting a virtual session on Energy Storage themed ‘The Storage Solutions of Tomorrow’ (see further details on the session below). You are hereby invited to join the session on the 20th of November from 11h30 – 12h30. All the sessions are free of charge - register for your free pass online here . May you kindly diarise the session and go here for the full programme.
Details of the Energy Storage virtual session on the 20th:
Market potential and challenges of energy storage solutions: Energy storage will play a key role in stabilizing a more volatile energy system based on renewable energies in the future. However, implementation of storage solutions - especially with new advanced technologies - is accompanied by challenges and holistic quality assurance measures still have to be materialized. Join the session to learn more about the market potential of storage solutions, which technology type most likely will prevail, and how technical and economic risks can be mitigated.
Cosmas Chiteme, Director of Hydrogen and Energy at Department of Science and Technology (DSI)
Dr. Matthias Vetter - Head of Electrical Energy Storage Systems Department at Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems
