European Development Days digital and with GIZ presence

The European Development Days (EDD) have established themself as a key event in the world's development calendar. Each year, the forum organized by the European Commission brings the development community together to share ideas and experiences in ways that inspire new partnerships and innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.

Visit the EDD 2021 digitally from all around the globe

On 15 and 16 June 2021 participation at the leading forum on development and international cooperation will be open to everyone – digital, worldwide and free of charge.

Under the main thread of 'The Green Deal for a Sustainable Future', the EDD’s 2021 agenda was framed around 17 major topics. Each one is presented similarly to a TV show with interesting and interactive sessions and ‘stands’ in a Global Village that can be visited digitally.

GIZ Contribution

As in previous years, GIZ will share its experiences and project examples in diverse discussion panels and showcase its work. The sessions and stands with GIZ lead are:

➔ 15.06.2021, 11.40 – 11:50: Financing our Future – Financing a Global Green Deal (Agora Session) (Recording)
➔ 15.06.2021, 11:45 – 13:00: Green Deal without borders: global circular economy solutions against plastic (Brainstorming Lab) (Recording)
➔ Stand: Pioneering climate change adaptation in urban Egypt (Recording)

In addition, GIZ will contribute to sessions of partners and our commissioning parties as well as the Practitioners’ Network (PN High Level Panel with Tanja Gönner, Recording). All GIZ contributions can be found and filtered at EDD’s partner organizations.
