Creating prospects for a future worth living – we recorded a total business volume of around EUR 4 billion in 2025, which supported more than 1,600 projects designed to achieve this goal. It was a successful fiscal year for GIZ, especially with regard to income from cofinancing.

The taxable business area International Services (InS) recorded growth again in 2025. At EUR 295 million, it increased its total operating performance by around 12 per cent (2024: EUR 264 million). Through InS, international institutions such as the European Union, the United Nations, governments worldwide, businesses and private foundations can commission GIZ directly.
