Where am I allowed to show the films?

On any personal channel that can show videos.

How can I obtain the rights to use the films?

We would be really happy for you to share the films. Please do not alter them, but GIZ does not impose any restrictions otherwise.

Can I download subtitles for the films?

Yes, German and English subtitles are available in the download section as SRT files. They can be inserted in some channels, but in others only automatic subtitles can be used.

Only automatic subtitles work on Instagram : Download the video here that you would like to share. Open your Instagram app. Tap the plus sign and select ‘Reel’ or ‘Story’. Select the video that you downloaded previously. Please do not add any music, effects or captions to the video. Click on the sticker symbol and then on ‘CC/subtitles’. Instagram will then add automatic subtitles.

Downland the original version of the video here and the subtitles file with the extension .srt in German or English. Open LinkedIn in your browser, because the LinkedIn app for mobile devices does not allow you to upload subtitles files, only videos with hardcoded subtitles. Enter text for your post as usual and then click on ‘Media’/‘Video’ at the bottom left. Select the video that you downloaded previously. In the next window, you can tap the ‘cc’ subtitles symbol, deactivate automatic subtitles and select ‘Upload SRT file’ instead. Select the appropriate subtitles file with the extension .srt and then click on ‘Apply’. Please do not edit the video in any way, for example by adding music or effects. Now just post it and you’re done!
