Context
The Government of India aims to reduce India’s emissions intensity. To achieve this it requires an energy-efficient industry. At the moment, the country lacks long-term as well as social approaches.
Objective
A long-term and inclusive approach is adopted to institutionalise decarbonisation in Indian industry.
Approach
The project promotes a green economy through CO2 reduction, energy efficiency and social participation. A carbon market and state subsidies encourage investment in climate protection. With the help of data, social measures can be designed to target women and disadvantaged population groups.
