Approach
Together with the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) and the Indian Bureau of Energy Efficiency, the project supports dialogue between the German and Indian governments. The IGEF meets annually and provides a platform for dialogue among relevant stakeholders. Topics include thermal power stations, renewable energy, energy efficiency and green hydrogen.
The project supports the IGEF in the following tasks:
- Organising meetings between German and Indian government representatives
- Initiating cooperation on solar and wind energy, critical raw materials such as lithium or cobalt, smart grids, pumped and battery storage, and green hydrogen
- Organising and participating in hundreds of national and international events on renewable energy. This is carried out in collaboration with business associations – including Intersolar Munich, Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue, WindEnergy Hamburg, RE-Invest, RE-Expo and Intersolar India
