HR Assistant (Generalist)

Responsibilities:

HR Assistant is responsible for:

Dealing with all types of HR-related requests from national staff 

Supporting HR team in their daily work in different aspects 

Tasks:

  1. HR support

HR Assistant:

Supports HR Specialist in enrolment of the staff to Medical insurance program 

Supports HR Specialist with payroll related documentation flow and filing

Supports HR team with preparation to audit/revision and other types of controls

Supports HR Specialist with timely military service reporting and waiving process

Supports with preparation of contract extensions for GIZ employees

Organizes timely payment on the invoices, related to HR when needed

Responsible for proper filing of all the documentation related to his/her activity both digitally and in hard copies

Other adhoc request from HR team and management

  1. HR instruments and procedures

HR Assistant:

Assists in implementing policies for national personnel 

Assists with formulating and updating a wide range of HR information materials 

Assists with developing HR procedures and instruments 

Ensures proper personnel data storage (personnel files, SAP data etc) 

  1. Other duties/additional tasks

HR Assistant:

  • Performs other duties and tasks at the request of management 

Required qualifications, professional experience and personal competences:

  • BA/MSc degree in social sciences, psychology or comparable degree
  • Initial experience in assistant role or experience in HR field would be an asset
  • Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone,  email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office, Teams)
  • Basic knowledge of HR management, knowledge of national labour and social law would be an asset
  • At least upper-intermediate level of English language, German language would be an asset
  • Awareness of how to handle HR issues appropriately (confidentiality, data protection)
  • Very good communication skills and client-orientation
  • Stress-resistance and good time-management

Employment conditions:

Full-time position with 40-hours working week. Place of assignment is Kyiv. Starting as soon as possible. The contract duration will be 12 months with the possibility of prolongation.
