GIZ (hereinafter also referred to as "We") appreciates your interest in our presence on social networks. Since the protection of personal data is very important to GIZ, we hereby inform you about the processing of your personal data by GIZ. As part of its public relations work, GIZ is present on the social networks LinkedIn, YouTube, Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).

From our website www.giz.de, you can access the official company accounts (LinkedIn, YouTube, Bluesky) via image icons, which contain so-called hyperlinks. Only by clicking on the icon with the hyperlink will data be transferred to third parties. In addition to the official company accounts, some projects and country offices of GIZ operate their own social media accounts. These activities are also covered in this privacy notice.
General Notice on the Use of Social Media
We expressly point out that the above-mentioned platforms store the data of their users according to their own privacy policies and also use it for business purposes. GIZ has no influence on data collection and its further use by these social networks. Therefore, there is no reliable information on the extent, location, and duration of data storage. Furthermore, GIZ has no influence on the extent to which the respective networks comply with existing deletion obligations, what evaluations and links are made with the data, and to whom the data is passed on for what purpose.
We point out that the mentioned platforms process their data worldwide and especially in the USA. This data processing outside the European Union carries risks regarding the possible assertion of your data protection rights.
