Indian Professionals “Make it in Germany”

The regional IT network of Aachen - REGINA, which consists of around 100 companies from the IT and electrical engineering fields organised the annual ‘Nacht der Unternehmen’ (roughly translated – Night of the Companies) from 3-7 November 2014 in Aachen, Germany. Along with a job fair, ‘Nacht der Unternehmen’ provides a unique opportunity for professionals to come in contact with potential employers and industry partners in the region.

The German Federal Employment Agency selected five professionals from the ‘Make it in Germany’ pool of applicants from India to take part in ‘Nacht der Unternehmen’. As a result of the participation, two of these candidates, Aniket Deb Roy and Jagadish M D were offered jobs under the EU Blue Card scheme while a third candidate, Sowmya Rajukalisamy was offered a traineeship with a German firm. The EU Blue Card scheme entitles highly qualified professionals to live and work in EU countries.

Aniket Deb Roy, an IT and Finance professional from New Delhi is very happy to get a job opportunity with a German SME in the Aachen region. “This is a significant milestone in my life and career. It all started when I got in touch with the ‘Make it in Germany’ advisors in New Delhi in February 2014. I want to thank the advisors for the excellent support extended to me,” says a jubilant Mr Roy.

Jagadish M D, an IT professional from Bengaluru appreciates the wonderful initiative of selecting qualified professionals from India for employment in Germany.
