As a federal enterprise, we bear a particular responsibility for the way we work. Sustainability is one of our key guiding principles. It is systematically embedded in structures and processes – from decisions taken by the Management Board to voluntary staff initiatives. How exactly is described in our Sustainability Guidelines.
Our Sustainability Programme sets out binding targets, measures and indicators. It is reviewed and refined on a regular basis, most recently in 2023. Together with other company strategies, for instance on human resources, gender and digitalisation, it forms the basis for sustainable business practices at GIZ. We also focus on sustainable solutions in our work worldwide.
