This is GIZ’s twelfth Integrated Company Report. It details our strategic direction, business development, social responsibility, environmental action and the results of our work. On this page, read about what guides us and about the standards we follow.
We have been compiling financial and non-financial information on a voluntary basis in the Integrated Company Report since 2014. This requires us to take a holistic view of our organisation: besides relevant indicators, the report also shows how, through its global services, GIZ is working with its commissioning parties and partners to respond to global challenges with effective solutions for sustainable development. We provide an insight into our services in the three dimensions of sustainability, collectively referred to as ESG, in stories prepared by our editorial team.
GIZ is preparing for the future implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which regulates sustainability reporting for companies at the EU level. As last year, we have therefore focused on the Declaration of Conformity with the German Sustainability Code for this report, in compliance with the recommendations of the Public Corporate Governance Code (PCGK) on sustainability reporting by federal enterprises. In the Declaration of Conformity with the German Sustainability Code, we report on our sustainability policy, environmental issues, employee concerns, human rights, corporate citizenship and compliance, and on the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, which we have pledged to uphold. Up to 2023, our reporting was based on the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
The Integrated Company Report 2025 is published in German and English.
We aim to use language that is as inclusive and non-discriminatory as possible.
