4. Processing of personal data when contacting us
When users contact us, the data provided will be processed in order to be able to answer the request. The following contact options are available:
- Applicant platform ("Local Personnel Procedure (OKV)")
- Email
- Brief
- Telephone
Applicant platform ("Local Personnel Procedure (OKV)")
A form ("Local Staff Procedure (OKV)") is available on the GIZ website with which you can contact us electronically. If you use the contact form and apply for the OKV procedure, the following (mandatory) personal data will be collected and stored:
- Identity data: your GIZ personnel number, title, first name, last name, date of birth, place of birth, marital status, place of residence (address), job title (last position), place of employment and period of employment,
- Communication data: Your e-mail address and mobile phone number
You can also specify the following additional (optional) data and documents:
- Additional data: your passport number, E Taskeera number, band of your last position
- Documents containing personal data: A copy of your passport, E Taskeera, last employment contract, threatening letter, passport/E Taskeera documents of core family members and Covid Vax proof
The application platform ("Local Staff Procedure (OKV)" presented by GIZ and thus the data processing described above is necessary for the performance of a task in the public interest. The legal basis for the processing of personal data within the framework of the OKV is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
An SSL-encrypted connection is used to transmit the data to GIZ.
By using the platform, you expressly consent to the processing described above.
4.1 Contact by e-mail
Alternatively, it is possible to contact GIZ via the e-mail addresses provided. In this case, at least the e-mail address, but also any other personal user data transmitted with the e-mail (e.g., surname and first name, address) as well as the information contained in the e-mail will be stored exclusively for the purpose of contacting the user and processing the request.
The legal basis for the processing of data in connection with e-mail communication is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4.2 Contact by letter
When contacting us by post, the transmitted personal data (e.g., surname and first name, address) and the information contained in the letter are stored for the purpose of contacting us and processing the request.
The legal basis for the processing of data in connection with letter communication is Article 6 (1) (e) GDPR.
4.3 Contact by telephone
When contacting us by telephone, personal data will be processed insofar as this is necessary to process the request.
