Lecture Series 2023: The contribution of universities to sustainability transformation

Universities and higher education can contribute to sustainable development in various and significant ways. In particular, their internationality contributes to a partnership-based exchange of knowledge and values. The increase in global challenges increases the need for interdisciplinary cooperation and a pooling of resources. In this sense, international university cooperation supports studies and teaching, promotes the transfer of knowledge and exchange between students and academics, and contributes to the structural strengthening of research and university management. In four parallel breakout sessions we will learn about the state of research of concrete projects of international university partnerships. We will discuss (initial) results and also take a look at the structural framework conditions of university partnerships.
