Context
Indonesia is central to regional value chains but faces trade competitiveness and SME export-readiness gaps. ARISE+ Indonesia links country-level reforms with ASEAN integration and EU–Indonesia cooperation, including preparations related to the CEPA process.
Objective
Enhance Indonesia’s trade performance and competitiveness by improving policy design and implementation, strengthening CEPA-related capacities, and increasing SME—including women-led SME—participation in international markets.
Approach
A flagship EU–Indonesia facility providing technical assistance and demand-driven support to government institutions on trade/investment policy, trade facilitation and quality infrastructure, plus targeted SME assistance (including on GIs), aligned with Indonesia’s priorities and coordinated with ASEAN agendas.
