The "Building for Prevention" project, funded by the BLKA - Bavarian State Criminal Police, is a Jordanian-German police cooperation that aims to provide the Public Security Directorate (PSD) with the infrastructure to expand its own prevention capabilities. Together with its cooperation partner, the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, it serves to initiate construction works and to provide the IT infrastructure in and around the new building that is meant to be built for the Jordanian Police’s Community Peace Center (CPC) in Amman.

This initiative is meant to strengthen the Jordanian Police’s deradicalization efforts by providing a location for call center employees. A decentralized service providing countrywide advice to relatives of Jordanians in the process of radicalization can increase acceptance among the population. This initiative can provide the infrastructural and logistic basis for the Jordanian Police to find new and sustainable solutions for the major challenge of international terrorism.

The project is made of two main components – procurement and construction. While the project has started 2021 to respond to the procurement needs of the Community Peace Center (CPC), the construction component is yet to start with the signature of the grant agreement between the Public Security Directorate (PSD) and GIZ.
