Context
Since 2009, there have been repeated violent attacks across the North-eastern States of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe. More than 27,000 people have lost their lives in these attacks, while some 2.3 million have been displaced from their communities of origin. This has led to a severely weakened health and education system as well as a lack of basic infrastructural facilities for potable water, energy and sanitation.
Objective
The living conditions of internally displaced persons, host communities and those returning to their communities of origin in the states of Adamawa and Borno have improved.
