European Development Days 2018

Protect, Empower, Invest – this year‘s European Development Days (EDD) in Brussels focused on gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. As in previous years, GIZ participated in discussion panels and had stands in the Global Village.

GIZ returned to EDD with various events

Protect, Empower, Invest – this year‘s European Development Days (EDD) in Brussels focused on gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. As in previous years, GIZ shared its experiences and examples in diverse discussion panels and showcase them at stands in the Global Village. In addition, we contributed to labs of partners and our commissioning parties such as the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the EU. German Development Cooperation for Women’s Superpowers
For the first time, there was a joint stand for German development cooperation, at which GIZ, BMZ, KfW and Engagement Global provided clear and fascinating information relating to digitalisation, rural development and the Marshall Plan with Africa. It was worth to pass by not only for the information displayed but also for activities, interesting insights provided by our interview partners and for some snacks.
