In 2025, Innovation and Training Park (ITP) Prizren consolidated its role as a central platform for skills development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable innovation in Kosovo. Over the course of the year, strategic commitments were translated into measurable results – strengthening local capacities, expanding opportunities for learning and employment, and contributing to long-term economic development.

Kosovo is now entering a new phase in implementing the Law on the Pricing of Medicinal Products, and Administrative Burden Reduction (ABR) is at the core of this reform.

Kosovo has taken a major step toward building a more modern, transparent, and citizen-centred public administration with the integration for the first time of the Administrative Burden Reduction (ABR) indicator into the Municipal Grant Performance System (MGPS) in 2024.

As part of Kosovo Sustainable Development Week, an inspiring environmental initiative implemented by NGO ACDC with the support of GIZ on behalf of the German Government wrapped up in North Mitrovica with a powerful finale: the unveiling of a community-built environmental sculpture and the successful restoration of three public drinking water fountains along the Ibar River. What began as a youth-driven idea has now transformed into a visible contribution to a cleaner, greener city.

As global climate negotiations grow more complex and interconnected, Kosovo’s ability to engage effectively on the international stage becomes increasingly essential. Strengthening institutional expertise in climate governance, negotiation frameworks, and diplomatic practice is a key step toward ensuring the country can actively contribute to international climate processes and represent its priorities with confidence.

In Kosovo’s evolving labour market, where the movement of workers across borders is growing rapidly, the way we talk and report about work and migration matters greatly. Media reporting plays a key role in shaping public understanding of labour rights, fair recruitment, and the conditions that define decent work, while also empowering the workforce.

The Law on Waste and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) event brought together key stakeholders, experts, local businesses, and Green School students to discuss how the new Law on Waste and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) can strengthen efforts toward a greener Kosovo.

The Climate Change Adaptation Day brought together representatives from institutions, academia, and civil society, to exchange perspectives on how Kosovo can strengthen its resilience to climate change, as part of the Kosovo Sustainable Development Week (KSDW).
