On this Earth Day, GIZ Kosovo, on behalf of the German Government, highlights how its cooperation with Kosovo’s institutions is supporting turn environmental and climate commitments into concrete action. From energy efficiency and renewable energy to waste management, circular economy, and climate-sensitive urban development, these efforts contribute to a greener, more resilient, and more livable future.

In Dragash/Dragaš, 50 community members, 20 women and 30 young jobseekers, are gaining new opportunities to access the labour market through targeted training and support measures. The initiative focuses on equipping participants from Albanian, Gorani, and Bosniak communities with practical skills in sustainable textile production and IT, aligned with current market needs.

The Urban Development and Climate Resilience Lab – Second Edition officially launches as an international academic cooperation initiative dedicated to strengthening collaboration among universities, researchers, professors, and students from Kosovo, Germany, and Switzerland.
