Key responsibilities:

  • Perform cash desk transactions in accordance with GIZ Procedures and Rules.
  • Conduct monthly and annual cash desk closings in line with GIZ Procedures and Rules.
  • Prepare and verify all cash-related documentation and ensure timely submission.
  • Maintain accurate filing and archiving of accounting documents, including invoices and commitments.
  • Support proper document flow and coordination between the Country Office and projects.
  • Communicate effectively with the finance team and relevant departments at GIZ HQ.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for audits and compliance checks.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Required qualifications, professional experience and personal competences:

  • University degree in accounting and finance or similar degree.
  • At least 1 years of professional experience in a relevant position.
  • Native written and spoken Ukrainian; excellent command of English; knowledge of German is a strong asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office).
  • Confidential treatment of data and information.
  • Reliability, flexibility, high loyalty, high self-discipline, team player.

Employment conditions:

Full-time position with 40-hours working week. Place of assignment is Kyiv. Starting as soon as possible. The contract duration will be 12 months with the possibility of prolongation.
