Digital Innovation Made in Africa - Exhibition and Summer Reception

On 25 June GIZ welcomed partner and guest at its Brussels Representation to look back at a remarkable first half of 2018 and to toast to what still lies ahead. The evening started with digital insights: The exhibition ‘Digital Innovation Made in Africa’, showcased innovative digital solutions to development challenges on the continent in the framework of the ‘Make-IT in Africa’ programme. The programme is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ. As no digital innovation can take place without connectivity, the Internet Society also illustrated possibilities for providing internet even in remote areas.

The innovative exchanges of around 100 guest continued in the garden by listening to world music from the ensemble Èclats and enjoying a Syrian mezze buffet from Our House Project, a non-profit organization aiming to help refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants starting their lives in Belgium.
