SUPPLY OF BEE HIVES AND OPEN SUN DRYING FISH/SARDINE RACKS MATERIAL
As an international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations, the federally owned Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the Tanzania Government on behalf of the Germany in achieving its development-policy objectives.
The GIZ-Pwani Yetu project is focused on the conservation and sustainable management of coastal and marine biodiversity in Tanzania. It is implemented under the leadership of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) and is co-financed by the European Union through the Team Europe Initiative (TEI).
The project is carried out in close collaboration with the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries of the United Republic of Tanzania, strengthening national efforts to protect marine ecosystems while supporting sustainable livelihoods along the coast.
The project intends to supply various materials that will be used to create bee hives and open sun drying fish and sardine racks in Mkinga, Tanga.
