PazDiversa
The PazDiversa project aims to support the implementation of the gender-specific measures of the Colombian peace agreement of 2016. The target group of the project are in particular women and people with different sexual orientations and gender identities in the regions of Caquetá, Meta, Norte de Santander and, since 2024, Valle del Cauca. The inclusion of the gender approach in the Colombian peace agreement is an important milestone at international level and is also in line with the recommendations of United Nations Resolution 1325 (2000), which strengthens the participation of women in the areas of peace and security.
The project works together with the following institutions, among others: Vice Presidency of the Republic of Colombia, Ministry of Equality and Equity, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Agriculture and the National Land Agency (ANT).
The project comprises four fields of action.
Output 1: Promoting participation
The political participation of the target groups (women and people with different sexual orientations and gender identities) is strengthened.
Output 2: Securing resources
The socio-economic capacities of the target groups are strengthened. To this end, AMBERO Consulting trains the target groups in digital skills, for example, and improves their access to funding opportunities for their business ideas.
Output 3: Changing social and institutional attitudes
Both state institutions and civil society organisations are supported in counteracting gender-specific discrimination and violence.
Output 4: Strengthening the implementation of National Action Plan 1325 on "Women, Peace and Security"
State institutions and civil society organisations are strengthened in their efforts to implement the action plan in the project regions.
