"Energy in Transition - Powering Tomorrow" traveling exhibition opens at the SM Mall of Asia

The German Embassy Manila, in cooperation with GIZ Philippines, officially opened the traveling exhibition "Energy in Transition - Powering Tomorrow" at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, January 20, 2025. 

German Ambassador to the Philippines H.E. Andreas Pfaffernoschke welcomed guests at the ceremony, highlighting the significance of the exhibit and its overarching goal to serve as a platform for awareness of the global energy transition.

This was followed by a message of support from SM Supermalls President Mr. Steven Tan, underscoring Germany's and SM’s common goals towards sustainable development. Department of Energy Philippines Undersecretary Rowena Guevara represented the Philippine government, highlighting the country’s energy security goals and its strong partnership with Germany in pursuing them. GIZ Country Director Immanuel Gebhardt closed the ceremony, highlighting GIZ’s long history as a development partner to the country and the urgency of the exhibit, as a means of combating the climate crisis through public diplomacy.

The traveling exhibition "Energy in Transition – Powering Tomorrow", which was on display until January 26, offers a special opportunity to explore the decarbonization of energy systems, the global mobility transition, and the shaping of a just transition for all. Through diverse perspectives from politics, science, civil society, and business, innovative solutions are presented that will shape our future and show us how we can collectively manage the energy transition.
